Project Manager – Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB)

We have an immediate and exciting new job opening for a Project Manager (PEMB) to join our growing client’s team and work on-site at their office located in Fort Worth, Texas.  We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the execution and delivery of Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) projects from contract award through completion. The Project Manager will serve as the key point of contact between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to our high standards of quality and integrity.
This position requires a strong understanding of PEMB systems, construction management principles, and field coordination practices. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of leading multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of PEMB projects, from preconstruction planning and scheduling to completion and close-out.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to identify scope, schedule, and cost requirements.
  • Coordinate with estimating, drafting, fabrication, and field teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and accurate execution.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, submittal logs, and change orders.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
  • Resolve field conflicts, design discrepancies, and logistical issues in collaboration with the construction and engineering teams.
  • Lead project meetings with internal staff, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all project documentation, RFIs, and change management are maintained in project management software.
  • Drive project profitability through proactive cost control and efficient scheduling.

 

Qualifications
  • 5–10 years of project management experience in PEMB, steel erection, or commercial/industrial construction.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and shop drawings.
  • Familiarity with PEMB systems (Butler, Nucor, Varco Pruden, Metallic, etc.).
  • Knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, and contract management.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Bluebeam, and other project management tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage deadlines under pressure.
