Job Description

ERP System Administrator (NetSuite, QB, Business Central)
Contract to hire
Remote

IMMEDIATE NEW JOB OPENING for a Financial System Administrator to join our team and work in a contract to hire for our Dallas based client.  This role is client facing and will be responsible for working across QuickBooks Online, NetSuite and Business Central.  You will support each platform’s standard reporting and connector layers and also support a shared ticketing or PSA tool and CRM.
Technical Environment
NetSuite, Business Central, and QuickBooks Online, along with each platform's standard reporting and connector layers, plus a shared ticketing or PSA tool and a CRM or account health tracking system used to maintain the relationship profile for each managed account
Role details
  • Client-facing coordination role on QuickBooks-to-NetSuite or QuickBooks-to-Business Central conversion engagements for accounts in the managed book, working alongside the deep technical specialist rather than replacing them
Communication, Customer Care, and Execution Standards
  • Every managed account receives a standing check-in (recommended cadence: biweekly to monthly depending on complexity) regardless of whether a ticket is open, so problems surface before they become escalations
  • Technical accounting and systems issues are explained to non-technical stakeholders (owners, controllers, CFOs) in plain language, without unexplained jargon or acronyms
  • Every commitment made to a client, whether a deadline, a callback, or a fix, is tracked to closure and confirmed directly with the client, not simply marked resolved internally
  • Recurring issues are flagged upward as a pattern (a process gap, a training gap, a platform-fit issue) rather than repeatedly resolved as isolated tickets
  • Bad news (a missed deadline, an error discovered after the fact, a limitation in the platform) is communicated proactively and promptly, before the client discovers it independently
  • Written communication, email, ticket notes, and status updates, is clear, complete, and professional enough to be forwarded to a client's leadership without editing
  • Each managed account has a documented relationship profile, stakeholders, communication preferences, known sensitivities, and history, maintained so ownership can transfer cleanly if the practice scales or reassigns the book

Required Qualifications
  • Four or more years of combined hands-on experience across NetSuite, Business Central, and QuickBooks Online, with genuine working competency in at least two of the three and accounting fundamentals fluency sufficient to ramp quickly in the third
  • Two or more years in a client-facing role carrying direct account ownership (account management, client success, controller-facing bookkeeping, or equivalent), not solely back-office technical execution
  • At least one current certification at the Tier 2 equivalent level in the candidate's primary platform: NetSuite Administrator, MB-800 (Business Central Functional Consultant Associate), or QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Level 2
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical accounting and systems issues clearly to non-technical business stakeholders, evidenced through client references or a work sample during the interview process

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications spanning more than one platform rather than depth in only one
  • Direct experience as the client-facing lead on a QuickBooks-to-NetSuite or QuickBooks-to-Business Central conversion
  • Experience with a PSA or ticketing platform and a CRM or account health tracking tool
  • Background in controllership, fractional CFO support, or client-facing public accounting, where relationship trust was a core part of the role rather than a byproduct of it
