IMMEDIATE NEW job opening for a Technical Waterfall Project Manager to join our team and work remotely for our global client.  This is an exciting IT Waterfall Project Management role where you will be responsible for the coordination and completion of projects within the Cloud Platform team. As an Associate Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting project managers and project teams to achieve their goals. You’ll serve as a bridge between project managers and the rest of the team, ensuring smooth project execution. You’ll also be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing Information Technology Cloud projects within the decided-upon timeline and scope. You will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members. Our Cloud environment supports key internal and external operations throughout the enterprise. Responsibilities:
  • Oversees all aspects of projects.
  • Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project.
  • Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects.
  • Responsible for coordinating activities across the development lifecycle.
  • Managing communications across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project.
  • Project Coordination:
    • Assist in coordinating project activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
    • Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions.
    • Act as a point of contact for team members and stakeholders.
    • Lead and guide technical staff to achieve project objectives.
  • Risk Management:
    • Analyze projects to identify risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
    • Collaborate with project managers to address potential issues promptly.
  • Communication:
    • Facilitate regular project meetings.
    • Follow up on tasks and issues, ensuring effective communication within the team.
    • Transfer critical information to senior management.
  • Project Planning and Execution:
    • Develop project work plans using tools like Microsoft Project.
    • Align project scope with sponsors and stakeholders.
    • Ensure adherence to change control processes.

Required Skills: 
  • 4+ years of technical Project Management
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must have Waterfall experience primarily
  • JIRA, Confluence and MS Project
  • JIRA development/dashboard creation – plus
  • Service Now and/or PowerBI experience – plus
  • Exceptional communication (verbal & written) is required
  • Experience managing communications and collaborating across multiple teams
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and have the ability to prioritize, show initiative and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • PMP certification – preferred
  • A leader that has successfully led multiple small to medium-sized information technology projects.
  • Experiencing in conveying information clearly and effectively to different audiences via different mediums (slides, Teams chat, emails).
  • Additionally, the capability to foster collaboration and trust among the project team and stakeholders.
  • The ability to identify project risks and to address those risks with subject matter experts (SME) and project stakeholders.
  • Experience with tools like a work breakdown structure (WBS) to take feedback from SMEs and stakeholders and translate it into scheduled work activities.
