IMMEDIATE new job opening to join our team and work on a project with our long-term, global client as a Sr. Data Analyst on their Enterprise Data Warehouse team.  This role can be done remotely or hybrid in their McLean, VA HQs.  This position will be responsible for data analysis, support, and bringing new data sets into a data warehouse landscape.  If you are a skilled SQL/Excel Data Analyst with the ability to analyze large volumes of data sets, this is the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:
•    Provide support for data warehousing initiatives and join a focus/agile team in support of the development lifecycle (SDLC). 
•    The role needs to learn and understand specific domains of hospitality data and deliver the artifacts needed for SDLC with little support from the manager. 
•    Testing (UAT) data warehousing products to ensure reliability and accuracy of information loaded into the databases. 
•    Support production databases and investigate level two production issues that are moved to the focus team. 
•    Profiling new data sources or data files to document understanding of new data that is required to use to build new database products. 
•    Build and curate documentation such as source-to-target mapping documents to ensure the data warehousing documentation is in accordance with standards. 
•    Generate and prepare reports of data research or data analysis requests in support of business objectives.

Skills Required: 
•    5-7+ years of experience as a Sr. Data Analyst
•    Must have SQL query experience and have the ability to understand the data behaviors & outputs
•    Strong documentation skills required 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication (ability to summarize/write/communicate the results in an easy-to-understand manner) 
•    Product Delivery Experience 
•    Relational database knowledge with Amazon warehouse and RedShift preferred
•    Discovery of new data by queries
•    Documentation 
•    Catalogue experience and creating data dictionary
•    Experience with source to target mappings
•    Experience with ETL, and the data life cycle 
•    Data quality experience
•    Agile
•    MS Excel
•    SDLC, Metadata, data quality rules and setup data mapping experience
•    Needs to take ownership and help the focus team make decisions in order to deliver the data products. 
•    Needs good communication and writing skills as there is daily collaboration with system teams, vendors, internal IT members, BI teams, and business teams.
