SQL Developer I & II
Fulltime
Hybrid role in Dallas, Texas

IMMEDIATE new job opening for fulltime SQL Developers based out of Dallas.  These roles will work for our client’s team directly.  This is an opportunity to join a growing technology services firm, specializing in developing software applications and providing outsourced cloud IT services for private equity, hedge funds and financial services companies.  Seeking a Jr. SQL Developer and a Mid-level SQL Developer that are skilled in SQL/SSIS and will be proficient with SQL, SSIS, and Powershell.  This role will understand, maintain, and troubleshoot existing scripts and packages and design code for new applications that the team is building.  You will work with internal and external stakeholders.  The Development team is responsible for ensuring client success by building scalable, cutting-edge enterprise solutions in a fast-paced environment.  You will gain fluency in capital market concepts and insight into the operations of investment management firms.  They are a profitable startup and offer competitive compensation and benefits along with an opportunity to take ownership in a small team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with developers, business analysts, and external teams to review business requirements and transform them into database objects.
  • Schedule, monitor and troubleshoot daily jobs and reports using Siepe’s job administration tools.
  • Design, develop, document, test and optimize SQL database objects following coding standards.
  • Develop new and enhance existing SSIS packages to load and normalize data from external sources.
  • Use Microsoft PowerShell to create scripts to orchestrate data load jobs: move, copy, and archive files; manipulate data files; convert from one format to another; initiate SSIS packages.
  • Create, maintain, and publish data models, data dictionaries and ER diagrams.
  • Work collaboratively in a growing organization.
  • Contribute and maintain their Knowledge Base and SQL coding standards.

Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of overall SQL experience with the ability to develop, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries.
  • Advanced knowledge of T-SQL/Stored Procedure/View/Function programming and design.
  • 2-5 years of experience developing ETL tools (SSIS preferred).
  • Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
