IMMEDIATE NEW JOB OPENING for a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our team and work for our global client remotely.  This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a global brand and grow your career!  The Analytics team serves as internal consultants to key functions across the business, including brands, development, customer, marketing, digital, revenue, and sales organizations with specialized support for the executive leadership team. The team is fully integrated within the business functions to ensure close partnerships and to more effectively measure and drive company performance consisting of domain professionals who serve as strategic advisors to key partners.  The Business Intelligence team is responsible for managing reporting assets and automation used to drive data access and insights for users across the enterprise, from on property to executive levels. This role will be responsible for supporting ongoing reporting initiatives across all enterprise business domains. These are core business domains that support the larger Global Brands and Commercial Services team.

Responsibilities:
  • Partnering with the core Revenue Analytics team to gather business requirements and translating them into tangible deliverables with clearly defined acceptance criteria
  • Working with our Technology and Data teams to design data models to support any reporting or automation initiative for measuring acceptance criteria and outcomes
  • Leading the development of well-organized, insightful reports, dashboards, and other forms of data visualizations to support strategic, tactical and operational business decisions
  • Working with Business Intelligence and Analytics leadership to ensure underlying data infrastructure and reporting assets are aligned with long term business intelligence enterprise strategy
  • Identifying new data sources that that will support reporting requirements
  • Developing and curating datasets from underlying databases and data sources
  • Leveraging automation and monitoring capabilities to proactively identify data anomalies and ensure report accuracy
  • Assisting members of analytics team and business stakeholders with ad-hoc and self-service reporting capabilities
  • Provide training and support to end users on the use of the report and dashboard solutions
  • Assisting the data quality process to ensure the integrity of data sources consumed by reporting
  • Overseeing the timely and secured distribution of reports to relevant stakeholders through business intelligence platforms such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Alteryx, Redshift, Microsoft SQL Server, and SharePoint
  • Work with Analytics Product team to establish the product life cycle as solutions are delivered, to ensure the facilitation of a closed feedback loop, timely SLAs with reported incidents, and the grooming of an enhancement/feature backlog.
  • Collaborating with DBA team in the optimization of data processes and schemas to improve the performance and stability of the data warehouse and reporting solutions.
  • Providing production support for enterprise and departmental reporting solutions in a timely and professional manner
  • Assisting IT and Tool Administrators support the business intelligence infrastructure during maintenance windows and scheduled application and OS upgrades




Requirements:
  • 5+ years of analytics experience
  • 3+ years creating reports, dashboards, and/or summarizing large amounts of data into actionable intelligence to drive business decisions
  • Experience with leading Business Intelligence tools, preferably MicroStrategy or Tableau
  • Proven knowledge in data warehousing, SQL and data management concepts, preferably in Amazon RedShift or other columnar database management systems
  • Proven experience with data management tools like Informatica, SSIS or Alteryx for data transfer and preparation.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience using SQL for ad-hoc queries, performing data profiling.
  • Must be comfortable writing complex queries and creating/ troubleshooting stored procedures
  • Experience creating detailed process documentation and conducting knowledge transfer
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and presentation skills
  • Strong proven expertise in a coding language such as SQL, Hive, R, Python, Scala, etc.
  • Detail-oriented team members, especially with regard to documentation, presentation materials, end user training, communication, and annotation

Nice to Have Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or other analytical field
  • Functional experience in hospitality
  • End-to-end understanding of the data flow process (from ingestion to consumption layer)
  • Solid working experience with surrounding and supporting disciplines (data quality, data operations, data modelling, BI/Data WH/Data Lake)
  • Experience using R, Python or other statistical analysis & data mining tools is a plus
  • Experience with process improvement (Six-Sigma) is a plus
  • Familiarity with Agile Project Management is preferred
  • Effective communicator, collaborator, influencer, solution seeker across variety of opinions
  • Self-starter, well organized, extremely detail-oriented and an assertive team player, willing to take ownership of responsibilities, and possess a high level of positive energy and drive.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work well under pressure and effectively handle concurrent demands to prioritize responsibilities
