SAP S/4 HANA Test Lead
Contract-to-Hire
Fort Worth, Texas

We have an IMMEDIATE new job opening for an SAP Test Lead to join our team and work onsite at our client’s global HQs based in Fort Worth, Texas.  As the SAP Test Lead for this technology modernization and business transformation, you will lead the testing efforts for our SAP S/4 large-scale implementation project, including all key boundary applications and 3rd party systems. You will collaborate with our system integrators and all cross-functional teams to drive testing strategies, create test plans, manage test execution, and ensure the quality and integrity of the SAP S/4 system and boundary applications. In this role you will also manage defect triaging, resolution process and made sure it is ready for re-testing. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a strategic journey that will transform our organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Test Strategy and Planning:
    • Implement holistic test strategies, including System Integration Testing (SITs), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and performance/regression testing.
    • Coordinate with the Pioneer system integrators, to ensure that we are aligned with the testing plan, scope and deliverables.
    • Align on types of testing, testing timeline, tools and usage, roles and responsibilities, defect management as well as reporting and tracking.
  • Test Design and Execution:
    • Coordinate and develop end detailed end-to-end (E2E) test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and functional specifications.
    • Manage Test Data, Tester assignment with Security Role assignments for the testing of all Pioneer SAP S/4 future state platforms and boundary systems.
    • Help coordinate the Testing Schedule and Calendar.
    • Manage the execution of test cases and document results, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all business processes.
    • Ensure execution of test cases against target schedule.
  • Test Automation
    • Manage and coordinate of test automation for performance and regression testing.
    • Assist in determining the which test scenarios meeting the criteria for automation.
    • Ensure that we have the tools and staff training to conduct testing activities.
  • Defect Management:
    • Monitor and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle, from identification to resolution and closure.
    • Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and address defects in a timely manner.
    • Collaboration with the system integrator testing lead to ensure that defects are properly prioritized and categorized.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead a team of testers, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure high-quality testing outcomes.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-driven testing environment.
    • Develops and approves testing deliverables, including test strategy.
 
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders, project managers, developers, and other cross-functional teams.
    • Provide regular status updates and reporting on testing progress and outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the testing process.
    • Contribute to the development and enhancement of testing tools and methodologies.

Requirements:
  • 5-8+ years’ experience in SAP testing, with a focus on large-scale implementations.
  • Proven experience leading testing efforts for complex SAP / ERP projects, preferably with an Agile methodology.
  • Strong knowledge/experience of SAP S/4 HANA modules (e.g. MM, FI/CO, SD).
  • Proficiency in testing tools and methodologies (e.g., JIRA / TestFLO, HP ALM).
  • Experience in automation testing a strong plus, with key tools (e.g. Micro Focus, Tricentis/Tosca).
  • Knowledge of the Food & Beverage Distribution industry a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or a similar Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
