IMMEDIATE NEW JOB OPENING for a JIRA Project Manager to join our team and work in a hybrid role at our global client’s headquarters located in McLean, VA.  In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Analytics Product Team to enhance the Product Operating Model and Engagement Model to our key stakeholders and business partners.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the design, implementation, and management of Atlassian JIRA tool centered around the Analytics Product and Business Intelligence Focus Team’s delivery work.
  • Design and implement the necessary workflows to capture and manage features as part of the overall Analytics Product roadmap activities. Enable backlog refinement and prioritization activities as part of the agile delivery cycle. Design and implement the landing page in alignment with Portfolio Management Standards.
  • Define and develop Dashboards of KPIs and other success measures to storyboard the Analytics Product performance per sprint and quarter.
  • Develop end-to-end business and JIRA processes in collaboration with the Portfolio Management Office and Enterprise Architecture to create value stream delivery for Analytics Product.
  • Create monthly process to re-align and re-prioritize the Analytics Product roadmap and coordinate and facilitate Analytics Product and BI monthly and quarterly alignment PI Planning process.
  • Determine ways to optimize and evolve existing functionality and existing processes.
  • Provide application support for Atlassian JIRA and Confluence to Analytics Product focus team Product Owners as well as generate documentation on workflows, processes, best practices, and training materials for reference and for new hire onboarding.
  • Support a maturing planning process through effective Jira portfolio management, ensuring alignment for strategic and functional Analytics product focus team projects, ongoing programs, and other key pieces of work to drive our KPIs.
  • Be a strategic partner and collaborator passionate about developing and maintaining strong working relationships and coordination between teams and leaders.
  • Partner with analytics, business, data, and external partners to collaborate and evolve the Analytics Product Operating Model. Ensure synergies and alignment between the Portfolio Management Demand Intake Process, the EAD Agile Transformation and Analytics Product Processes. Create end-to-end process through the
  • Lead project management activities for the Analytics Product team such as creating training materials, process documentation and cross coordinate Portfolio and Program Planning with our key stakeholders.
  • Communicate and champion agile processes via various forums and tools in a clear and concise manner.
  • Integrate engagements and ensure transparency in delivery timelines and risks with both vendor and internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with external and internal project liaisons to acquire resources, assign tasks, direct activities, and control project execution.
  • Tracks and reports progress, analyzes the results based on facts, defines the products of the project, and forecasts future trends in the project.  Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises, and devises contingency plans.
  • Maintains communications for governing bodies and interested parties.

Required Skills: 
  • 5-7 years of experience in Project and JIRA Process Management.
  • 4 years of advanced JIRA user experience including creating Dashboards, Scrum and Kanban Boards, Queries, and other types of performance reports.
  • 4 years of product management experience including JIRA Process Management and creating training documentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience working in a Product Management function as a project manager or product owner.
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and statistical skills.
  • Knowledge of portfolio agile planning processes and product lifecycle.
  • Direct collaboration with BI developers, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders.
