Digital Accessibility Analyst
1+ Year Contract

IMMEDIATE NEW JOB OPENING for a Digital Accessibility Analyst to join our team and work remotely for our global client.  This role will be responsible for participating in the digital delivery efforts for brand websites, serving as the advocate for our customers with disabilities.  The right individual will must possess strong tactical knowledge of accessibility standards and practices utilized to achieve compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.  The successful resource will have a passion for accessibility and an ability to instill empathy and understanding about the importance of accessibility beyond compliance.

This is NOT an accessibility testing position!


  • Understanding of how to apply WCAG 2.1 standards to web and mobile web.  
  • Able to advise on implementation of ARIA, audit sites to identify accessibility bugs, and have proficient use of one screen reader.
  • Comfortable working across all functional roles to help bake accessibility into the technology builds.
  • Executing accessibility processes set forth by the Senior Manager. 
  • Auditing the existing application to baseline accessibility compliance. 
  • Establishing an on-going compliance monitoring process.
  • Serving as the liaison with 3rd party accessibility vendor.
  • Learning the complexities of the system being built and how it is used by property employees to inform accessible solutions.
  • Innovating ways to scale adoption and integration of accessibility into the property management platform.
  • Partnering with Experience Design and User Research colleagues to ensure we are developing the best user experience for Team Members with a disability.
  • Working daily with agile product teams to instill accountability for and ownership of accessibility.
  • Writing accessibility specific acceptance criteria (AC) into user stories.
  • Evaluating code to help identify and solution accessibility defects.
  • Conducting full accessibility audits (web and mobile, when applicable) and packaging results into actionable feedback.
  • Training team on how to test for accessibility and how to use screen readers.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of accessibility guidelines, processes, and training.

Required Skills
  • Sr. level experience with WCAG 2.1 Level AA (required).
  • Experience working with delivery teams and the ability to follow through from design to delivery/initiating processes.
  • Understand ADA and international accessibility laws.
  • Understand and have demonstrated experience in applying accessibility and usability principles that impact users with disabilities in the discovery and design/wireframe stages.
  • Hands-on experience with assistive technology devices including screen readers, screen magnification, alternative keyboard inputs, etc. for both web and mobile. (Required:  intermediate knowledge of at least 2 screen readers).
  • Hands on experience conducting accessibility audits for web and mobile.
  • Ability to provide technical solutions and remediation to cross-functional teams of product owners, development engineers, quality engineers, and designers.
  • Hands on experience with WAI-ARIA and how to implement accessibly.
  • Tactical knowledge of W3C standards-compliant HTML and CSS.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript (React JS a plus).
  • Knowledge of accepted accessibility interaction patterns and best practices.
  • Experience with agile methodologies, JIRA, and Confluence.
    IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) – plus.
  • Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) Certification – plus.
