Manual QA Salesforce Test Engineer
6+ Month Contract
Irving, TX

We have an IMMEDIATE new job opening for a Manual QA Test Engineer with Salesforce to join our team and work onsite for our client located in Irving, TX.  We are seeking an energetic and talented test engineer to join our testing teams in delivering high quality software. The candidate will be primarily testing web applications built on the salesforce platform and sometimes on hybrid mobile applications on iOS and Android. The candidate should have at least 5+ years of software testing experience. Hands-on experience testing mobile applications is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Hybrid role with 60 percent manual and 40 percent automation testing
  • Expertise in both manual and automation testing of web, API and mobile applications. Sound knowledge on Agile
  • Perform front end and back-end validation and thorough Regression testing on web and mobile applications. 
  • Work collaboratively with scrum teams and product owners to identify new features and squash bugs.
  • Collaboration skills are needed, as this role will work with Product Managers, Product Delivery Manager, and Engineering Teams.

Required Skills
  • 5+ years of manual QA software testing experience.
  • Experience testing web applications (Required), hybrid mobile apps (Preferred), measuring test coverage, developing test cases while promoting best practices in quality areas.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of Agile and Scrum process model.
  • End to end accountability to test the quality of the application under test to mimic the user experience through visual inspection against established user experience guidelines, comps, and validations.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment, and interact daily with all levels of staff, including system developers and product owner.
  • An analytical mindset to not only identify bugs but also try to find the root cause.
  • Proficient in testing software manually including but not limited to experience-based, context, exploratory, and scenario testing.
  • Providing estimates of the scope and timeframe necessary for testing a project to ensure a high-quality implementation.
  • Work with business to define user stories and assist building acceptance criteria during story grooming.
  • Align with development team and product owner to identify gaps in functional coverage.
  • Ability to provide go-live readiness; does the product meet the needs of our users and business; is the product reliable and dependable.
  • Proactive research to provide actionable insights that drive future design improvements or functional issues.
  • Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills Creative thinker, confident and able to express complex ideas in an articulate, concise manner.
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of Test Automation Development experience with open source and market-leading solutions such as Appium or selenium – preferred (Though this position is mostly manual testing, there might be an opportunity to contribute to automation scripting).
